A major infrastructure leap is set to transform Gurugram’s Southern Peripheral Road (SPR): a 5.5-km, six-lane elevated corridor connecting Vatika Chowk to NH‑8. Designed to replicate the efficiency of the Dwarka Expressway, this project promises a smooth, congestion-free journey for daily commuters.

The project features a six-lane elevated main road, flanked by three-lane service roads on both sides, along with pedestrian walkways, dedicated cycle tracks, and landscaped green zones.

The elevated road will integrate directly with the Dwarka Expressway, NH‑8, and the Delhi–Mumbai Expressway via a cloverleaf interchange at Vatika Chowk.

Cost & Timeline: With an approved budget of ₹750 crore (₹620 crore for construction, ₹130 crore for land), the detailed project report (DPR) is under review. Construction is slated to begin by late 2025, with a target completion window of two years.

The corridor will bypass several congested junctions like Subhash and Rajiv Chowk, cutting travel time and offering a fast-track route for commuters heading to Delhi, Manesar, and Sohna.

  • DPR finalization and contractor appointment underway
  • Construction kickoff expected late 2025
